I have been wanting to paint a zebra for a long time.  This was one of my Thanksgiving break projects.  When I was a little girl we got three stations on our black and white TV....imagine that!  Every Sunday night Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom came on and I was glued to the TV.  I guess the black and white TV made me particularly fond of the zebras.  I remember closing my eyes for the opening scenes when the big cats preyed on the other animals.  I was thrilled when we got to go to the Washington Zoo and saw them for real!  The zebras were even prettier in person than I imagined.  This week I'm painting a lion.  In my wild kingdom the lion will be a vegan--so no upsetting scenes!

This week we will be going to Orange, Virginia for the  Holiday Village-- https://www.theoda.org/downtown-orange-holiday-village/

I'm very excited...I've never been to this event before! Please come and join us if you can.  Jimmy has been busy framing pictures and I've been painting...we hope you like our efforts.  We are also starting to get prints  and notecards of some of our paintings.  If you are interested please contact us.

Hope you are having a great week!
